I try to make each website design fit with the culture of the firm, and project both professionalism and accessibility.
I think it's easy for law firms to forget that most people are hiring a lawyer for the first time, and the entire process can seem very overwhelming.
Offering a free consultation, or some expectation of the process and what it will cost is typically beneficial.
I understand that there are cases where it's hard to give any information about a price range until an attorney has spoken with the potential client about their specific situation. In those cases, I think just assuring people that they will leave the first meeting with an understanding of the costs is important. When you don't mention prices, people tend to assume they're walking into a hard close, pressure sales situation.
