Swell-Sites Website Process - 5 easy steps
Please note that the follow process describes my normal website building procedure. I can make adjustments as needed and want to make sure the process, and the final product, fit your marketing goals. I am always available to answer questions before, during or after the website building process.
I try to time the entire process around you, getting the site done as quickly as possible (typically within 2 weeks). I am able to wait for feedback or work faster towards a deadline as needed. For specific timing questions or requests, please contact me.

The first step is for me to get a basic understanding of what you would like to accomplish, both in terms of design and over-all strategy. I encourage you to submit any existing color scheme, logos, imagery and content that you would like included. If there are sites you would like me to use as inspiration, we'll talk about those sites and the elements you'd like to incorporate with your site. For my clients who are transferring from FindLaw, I typically just work around the existing design elements so that we are not "re-inventing the wheel". If you do not have any thoughts (or time to communicate them) about the colors, design or imagery, I can start with something fairly simple and middle of the road as a starting point, and then edit as requested. |

One week after I've received the concept information, You will receive a link to a mock-up of your new site. The mock-up is mostly functional, but is not up and running at your domain until you're ready. I can integrate your content with the site at this point. This is the week for any changes or feedback you have regarding the design, colors, imagery, font or general lay-out. The actual content of the site at this point it not critical as it's very easy to change after finalizing the design. I put the mock-up at a subdomain of www.swell-sites.com, so your website will be accessible at http:______.swell-sites.com. The point being, you will be the only one who sees the site while it's still in the editing process. |

After I've received feedback on the design, I put all of those changes into place and send the edited site back to you. While I am finalizing the design, you can work to ensure that your content is a reflection of what makes your business unique. Content can easily be edited or added after the publishing of the website. |

Once the content is acceptable and the design has been completed, the site is published, typically on a hosting space in your name. At this point I submit the site to Google and set up Analytics to measure traffic. If you previously had the site with another provider, I can write a redirect script to ensure that we are capitalizing on any Google rankings your site had. This is a great time to put your new site out on any social media sites that you use. |

About 6 weeks after your site is published, it's a good idea to check in on where you're showing up on Google and do a quick review of the traffic reports. We can take a look at where your traffic is coming from, and how your potential clients are interacting with your site. |
